The Grime revival comes full circle with the return of Dizzee Rascal to the genre he helped build up from the streets of BOW E3 with a new album entitled ‘Raskit’.

it only right an originator of the sound returns to the scene with an album strapped ready to make noise. Dizzee Rascals new project blends perfectly his UK roots with his love for American American G-Funk and Chopped & screwed hip-hop.

Exactly 14 years to the day since Dizzee Rascal released the benchmark for grime albums ‘Boy In Da Corner’, it seems almost meant to be that he decided to release this new project on 21st of July. its great to see a new body of work from the East London MC & Producer, ‘Raskit’ sees him return to the genre he helped pioneer.

The 16 track album is filled to the brim with numerous flows and impressive wordplay, including a couple of controversial shots. it completely ditches the whole atmosphere that hung around its predecessor, ‘The Fifth’ released in  2013, swapping out pop like tracks for gritty bassline, synth stabs & social commentary.
