HighPriest187 releases a fresh tune complete with a fresh visual. Produced by Points, this track means business in more ways than one. The sirens at the start of the track alert the listener that straight fire is coming their way. And it most certainly does – Priest’s unique style persists throughout, bursting with wordplay and some familiar motifs which will help this fresh track feel like an instant classic.

Apparently this review has to be serious. So the donnys with nothing better to do than drink discounted blended whisky will endeavour give it a good go. No promises though.

‘Kathmandu’ is the first track to display a collaboration between Points and any member of the Fraktured Planet team – the first of what we’re hoping will be many. Points’ unique style when it comes to the instrumental enables Priest’s own style to shine. His use of the horns combined with the catchy, slightly detuned melody, adds instant drama to the riddim before even the hard hitting bass kicks in to really fuck things up. The beat’s choppy nature again can only encourage an MC to embrace his choppy flows, though keeping them steady with the reassurance of the clock-like hi-hats which, like glue (or indeed gel), gel the track together with any talented MC’s prose.

The visuals for ‘Kathmandu’ most definitely step out of line with the norm for grime videos – using

nothing more than a basic contrasting silhouette cutting through the background, 187 is able to capture the energy of the track within the movements of the video. Grime, Cydro and Bud is the mixture to this track, so click the vid and have a listen.

Exclusive to Fraktured Planet, this track is yet another instalment of quality originial music from the South East. This is a fucking banger of an auditory / visual experience which cannot be missed.
